Chlorophyte
A small, grape-like chlorophyte with a tough cell wall. Excellent bulk calorie feed for zooplankton but lacks essential fats like eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid.

A small, banana-like chlorophyte with a soft, poppable membrane. Excellent feed for zooplankton neonates. Lacks essential fats like eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid.
Cryptophyte
A charismatic, motile cryptophyte with a rich olive-to-rust-like color. Soft and palatable. Slow grower, but exceptional source of polyunsaturated fatty acids, particularly eicosapentaenoic acid. Ideal reproductive feed for freshwater zooplankton.
